A Day A Life A Love

A meditation on love... the way it forms, transforms and becomes something new. Adapted from author Jason Reynolds’ poem by the same name.

In this short film, we weave through a pair of lovers’ parallel journeys, from early intrigue to fiery infatuation and eventually, ultimate comfort. His words meet her movement in a balletic flow, as representational imagery binds them together. We see flashes of the city they fell in love in, and their shared experiences over time.

Finally, we end on glimpses — memories or fantasies — of love at its purest. We see our pair entangled in space, sharing laughs and ideas, dreaming of all that lies ahead.
