As a music writer who had grown up on Kanye, I teamed with a friend to create a journalist-led documentary about Kanye’s career, featuring interviews with critics from The New York Times, Billboard, XXL, HipHopDX, FADER, Pitchfork and Complex. A lot of press and 80K views later, the film whet the appetites of fans awaiting Kanye’s 2016 opus, The Life of Pablo.
